Diamond Crown CFW Robusto No. 3

6-1/2"x54 Robusto Profile

On the milder side of my cigar favorites, the Diamond Crown is a Connecticut wrapper cigar that has a wonderful aroma and taste.  For some reason, the combination of the size, wrapper smoothness, and wonderful taste just give me the feeling that I'm smoking a really great, quality cigar.  The length and ring size of this cigar just "feel" really good to me.  All of this adds up to a really content time in the evening when I'm out back smoking these beauties.  Stanford Newman and Carlos Fuente, Sr. certainly hit the mark when they came up with this line.  The cigar is made with 6-7 different filler tobaccos, a fairly smooth binder leaf, and then a superior, smooth, and oily Connecticut shade wrapper.  This, like the Ashton, is another of the cigars that I can actually discern a distinct taste from when smoking.  With the Diamond Crown, I get a a nice creamy feel and occasionally will get hit with a quick shot of citrus.  I'm not a cigar smoker with specific taste training so it is always enjoyable to figure out how a cigar "tastes".

I always enjoy the days when the Diamond Crown is in the batting order.  I've been known to smoke a couple of them in one sitting out on the back porch.  A great draw, perfect size for my hand, and smooth flavor - I can't find many other ways to enjoy an evening.
