My Favorite Cigars This portion of the website is where I get a chance to tell you which cigars I like to smoke. I think I've finally determined how to judge a cigar - at least for myself. I'd probably be dead wrong if I tried to advise anyone else on the particular high points or low points of cigars they might be interested in. However, I do know what I like. When it comes to mild cigars, I love the flavors imparted by Connecticut shade wrapper leaves. When it comes to full bodied cigars, I know the difference between "spicy" and "bitter". Of course, the best advice I can offer for getting the true taste of any particular cigar is to take your time when smoking. Don't rush through a cigar by smoking it quickly. You'll just add too much heat to the mix - especially when you're heading down the stretch with the last 1/3 of the cigar. Take your time. Enjoy the experience. Here is a list of the common names of the cigars that populate my humidor: La Aurora Preferidos #2 (click the "Aurora #2" link above) La Aurora Preferidos Robusto Cameroon (click the "Aurora Robusto" link above) Diamond Crown CFW Robusto No. 3 (click the "Diamond Crown" link above) Ashton Cabinet Selection #8 (click the "Ashton" link above) La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero 654 (click the "La Flor 654" link above) Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Box-Pressed Toro Maduro (click the "Indian Tabac" link above) Oliveros Club Selection Dos Perez Sweet (click the "Oliveros" link above) Finally, I've also put some pictures of my personal humidor so that you can see how I store my favorite cigars (click the "Humidor" link above). |
